Will I Ever Get A Job?

I've spent the past five days sending my CV to a whole bunch of job agencies to get some temp work, but it seems their electronic form is just for show, seeing as they don't know what I'm talking about when I ring. So yesterday I put on some smart clobber (eep) and I went and called on them in their offices. I spent an hour and a half in one place, sitting two typing tests and filling in EIGHT forms! They seem the most promising place to find work through, the only problem being they think they can slot me back in the last place I worked for. I smiled and said that would be marvellous. Dammit. Good thing I didn't say all those things I meant to as I left in December. Might be tempting to do it this time though.

Good thing is I whiled away a good hour huddled in the bookshop between appointments, and read LOADS of the Da Vinci Code! I'm now more than half way through! Want to finish it before I see the film. I just can't seem to read at home, not when I'm flicking channels for Dog the Bounty Hunter, or looking at eco-farms in Central America on the net.

I'm sitting here, watching the sun set over the off-licence, and I just found a really fun game. I keep trying to create faces of people I know but they all end up looking like Michael Jackson.

Guacamole Garden

Told you I had good news! The two avocado stones I started growing in beerglasses a couple of months back have finally got roots AND shoots now, so I've planted them in pots and hopefully in ten years time I will be reaping the fruits of my labour. I can wait that long.

Have a look at the piccies! I've decided to name them Alonso and Armando. I'll let you know how they get on.
